“OMG I DON’T WANT TO GO OUT TODAY. I HATE MY FACE. I LOOK LIKE A MONSTER!!!”

Nah, girl. You don’t look like one. Not even close.

Girls having acne is never a new or weird thing. Girls having acne yet not stressing about it every second... now that’s weird! But seriously, come on. Skin breakouts happen to EVERYONE when they’re young. Everyone! And it’s only a phase, we swear. The more you stress about it the more it’ll rule your life and bring you down. Your mood and hormones and your whole well-being do affect your skin.

So first: shake them bad feels away! They are NOT helping!

So yeah, acne happens and it sucks. But does that mean there’s nothing you can do. Naw, girl! It’s only a few easy steps to get rid of huge breakouts, baby.

Wash your face
True story: When it’s hot, you’re always sweating. You may get oily skin. If you’re trying to get rid of acne, that’s some bad stuff you’re up against. The answer? Every time you’re home after going out, wash your face. Before you do anything else, please just do it. It is totally the most crucial and important thing you’ll do. The key to clear and happy skin is clean skin. Wash your face twice a day. Not too much though, or it will dry your skin.

Skin moisturizer is your friend
Pat your face gently with dry towel. Pat. Don’t rub. Then, apply a moisturizer. You can get moisturizer from a nearest convenience store. Choose the non-chemical one.

Wash your face and moisturize. That’s it. There’s other stuff you can do, but those are the two that really make a difference.

In the meantime...
While you’re waiting for your skin to heal gradually, you still need to go outside and meet people, don’t you? But you just can’t stand the questions that are being fired at you, questions like, “What’s wrong with your face?” and “Are you okay?” and our recent favorite:

“You look...reddish!”

We know! We know! It’s annoying. It may be even more annoying than the acne itself. But you know what? All you can do is remember four simple words: it happens to everyone.
